Amba Defence has renewed its Alcumus SafeContractor award for achieving excellence in health and safety in the workplace.
Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management.
SafeContractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme that assesses the health and safety arrangements, policies and qualifications of businesses.
Under the SafeContractor scheme, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice. Only those companies meeting the high standard are included in the Alcumus a database and can display the SafeContarctor logo.
Client organisations who sign up to the scheme can access the database, enabling them to vet potential contractors before they even set foot on site. Over 300 major client businesses have signed up to use the scheme when selecting contractors for services such as building, cleaning, maintenance, refurbishment or electrical and mechanical work.
Our internal health and safety auditing process included revising the Security Operation Centre environment to address the current COVID-19 risk and distance working policies. We have significant rearrangement of the business to deal with this new working directive.
Shires Crichton, Amba CEO, comments:
"Amba depends on its dedicated staff to continue to deliver a professional and resilient service to it Commercial and Private Clients. Throughout this time of turmoil we have seen our client-base increase”
