Manta Protects Underground Parking at Renovated Hotel

The Ritz-Carlton on El Corniche, Cairo's prestigious Nile promenade, has been rejuvenated into a contemporary luxury hotel. It now includes a conference centre with meeting rooms for up to 1,100 people, new restaurants and a new spa. The renovation incorporates landscaped open spaces adjacent to the Nile, inviting guests outside to take advantage of Egypt’s warm climate. The 12-storey structure houses 325 guest rooms along with underground parking.

As part of the security strategy at the hotel, Comtec, our partners in Egypt, have supplied Ritz-Carlton with Manta Under Vehicle Inspection Units - used to identify suspect objects attached to the underside of vehicles.

Manta uses cutting edge imaging technology to display the entire underside of a vehicle in a single high-resolution image, typically resolving to one millimetre. Easy to use software, automated for real-time viewing, allows security staff at the hotel to quickly and accurately scan a vehicle entering the car park in under 10 seconds.
